Pakistan parliament votes to remain neutral in Yemen conflict

Islamabad — Pakistan’s parliament unanimously passed a resolution urging the government to stay out of the conflict in Yemen on Friday rejecting Saudi demands for Islamabad to join its coalition against Houthi rebels.

Lawmakers urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s government to step up efforts to find a negotiated end to the fighting saying it could plunge the region into turmoil.
