France economy to witness growth in 2016, 2017

(MENAFN) France's economy is set to grow in a slower pace than was previously forecast for the years of 2016 and 2017, according to the finance ministry, the Peninsula Qatar reported.

The country is forecast to undergo a slight growth of 1.5 percent for the two years. This forecast annuls the previous 1.7 percent which was expected for 2016 and the 1.9 percent for 2017.

Nonetheless, the ministry insisted on this year's 1 percent growth forecast. France is also set to reduce its public deficit to the EU limit, which is 3 percent of output by 2017.
