FNC discusses parliamentarian cooperation between UAE and Germany


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Salim Balrkad Al Ameri, Member of the Federal National Council, FNC, and Sabine Zimmermann, Member of the Federal German Parliament, have discussed ways to boost cooperation and friendship relations between FNC and the Bundestag, the national parliament of Germany.

During the meeting, which took place at FNC's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Al Ameri lauded the distinguished relations between the UAE and Germany in all areas, especially political, economic, touristic and educational fields, referring to the care and attention enjoyed by the Emirati Scholarship holders or Emiratis going for treatment in German hospitals.

The meeting comes within the framework of exchanging parliamentary experiences and learning about the mechanisms of technical support for the legislative and regulatory actions, which, in turn, contribute to the promotion of parliamentary practices and performance.

During the meeting, the two sides hailed women's status in the UAE and the support of UAE's wise leadership in the field of women's empowerment, noting that all the principles of the Constitution guaranteed all the rights and duties for women equally with men.

The Member of Federal German Parliament commended the progress and development witnessed by the UAE in various fields. She pointed out that Emirati women are assuming leading roles, she also praised the excellent services provided by the state to its citizens and residents or visitors in various aspects.
