RTA boosts legal cooperation with Dubai Police


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) A delegation from the Department of Legal Affairs, Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector at the Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has recently visited Al Rashidiya Police Station in Dubai.

The delegation consisted of Shehab Hamad Bu Shehab, Director of Legal Affairs, together with Omar Al Jaziri, Mohammed Al Hamadi, and Abdullah Ibrahim. The RTA delegation was received at Rashidiya Police Station by Saeed Ali Lootah, Director, with Rashid Mohammed Saleh Al Shohi, Deputy Director, Lt. Colonel Omar Musa, Lt. Colonel Salah Al Suwaidi, and Captain Mohammed Abdullah Ahli.

The Director of Rashidiya Police Station welcomed the members of the delegation and commended the vital role played by the RTA through its strategic projects in the field of mass transport and infrastructure. He also praised the existing cooperation between the General HQ of the Dubai Police and the RTA.

"The visit is part of the ongoing coordination between the Department of Legal Affairs of the RTA and Rashidiya Police Station to review matters related to the best practices of the Legal Affairs Department and a host of other issues of common concern," said Bu Shehab.

"The RTA is always keen on maintaining cooperation with government and semi-government entities all over the UAE to share expertise and knowledge in various fields, and offer its pioneering model of public transport and infrastructure along with associated achievements made in a record time. Such achievements have ranked Dubai Emirate among the top cosmopolitan cities not only in the region but worldwide, rendering it a benchmarking model in this vital field.

"Enhancing partnerships between government and semi-government entities as well as leading private businesses in the UAE plays a pivotal role in shaping ideas and ambitious plans for boosting bilateral relationships and raising the bar on performance. This could be achieved through exchanging expertise, reviewing the best practices and adopting successful strategies in various fields particularly those related to the daily life of various community segments, including legal aspects," added Bu Shehab.

At the end of the visit, the Director of Legal Affairs at the RTA expressed thanks and appreciation to the management of Rashidiya Police Station, saying that the RTA has in place a plan for communicating with public and quasi-public entities as well as the business community of the UAE, including strategic partners.

"Through this plan, the RTA is sharing knowledge, experience and the highest international standards in a variety of fields out of its keenness on achieving the best deliverables in daily works, and improving its performance particularly in delivering first class services to all sectors of the community towards realising the ultimate objectives and strategic goals of the Government of Dubai," concluded Bu Shehab.
