Minister leads team to Kuwait meetings
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Meetings of the Arab financial institutions and the Arab finance ministers began in Kuwait yesterday with the participation of several officials.
HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi chaired Qatar's delegation to the meetings, which includes HE the Governor of the Central Bank Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud al-Thani.
The agenda of the Arab financial institutions' meeting will focus on financial reports in 2014 as well as approving the financial closure for the fiscal year which ended on the December 31 last year.
The meeting will follow up resolutions which came out at the last Arab economic summit held in Riyadh in 2013, KUNA reported.
On the other hand, the sixth annual Arab finance ministers' council meeting will focus on choosing the council's chairman and vice-chairman, a report from the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), and an International Monetary Fund's (IMF) paper on improving efficiency at Arab tax institutions.
The ministerial meeting will include discussions on co-ordinating Arab actions and efforts at IMF and the World Bank.
