Hearing in restaurant blast case adjourned in Doha


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A Doha Criminal Court has adjourned to April 23 the hearing of the case about the Hala Istanbul restaurant explosion at Q-Mart Petrol Station near the Landmark Mall, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.
The court has summoned the investigators to hear their statement at the upcoming session.
The lawyer of one of the four defendants asked about the name and whereabouts of the technician who installed the surveillance cameras and whether they were connected to the Internet. But, a witness said he neither knew the technician nor identify the place where the cameras were bought from.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has launched a free recall campaign of Nissan Sunny sedan and Nissan pickup made during 2002- 2004 to repair a defect in the operation system of the front passenger airbag. The campaign is conducted in co-operation with Saleh Al Hamad Al-Mana Company, the dealer of Nissan vehicles in Qatar.

panel meets

The Advisory Council's Services and Public Utilities Committee held a meeting yesterday chaired by its Rapporteur Saqr Fahad al-Meraiki.
The committee studied a draft law regulating road works and decided to refer its report to the Advisory Council.
