(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) An armed man was killed outside a police station in Giza in an exchange of fire with the station's security forces.

Egyptians resumed voting in the constitutional referendum, with turnout expected to hold the key to a likely presidential bid by army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi after clashes killed nine the previous day.
The man with a "dangerous criminal record" fired at the policemen with a shotgun, state-run Al-Ahram reported.
The fire fight resulted in the injuring of a policeman and killing of the armed assailant, who died on the way to hospital.
The Giza Security Investigations unit stated that the killed man had a criminal record of thuggery and theft.
