(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Air will continue to invest in new destinations like Iran and China in addition to spending money on fleet expansion said Paul Gregorowitsch CEO Oman Air on Tuesday.
He said this while addressing the media on the launch of the Muscat-Goa flight. Talking about its newest destination Gregorowitsch said Oman Air is able to bring in tourists from different parts of the world to this wonderful place in India and also carry tourists from Goa to Muscat and other cities in GCC countries.
He said there are Goans in the sultanate and the new route will fly them direct to their city saving them the hassle of taking connecting flights and hours of waiting at other Indian airports.
While acknowledging that a number of other Indian flights operate to Muscat he said Oman Air as the sole carrier of the sultanate flies to 11 destinations in India with the limited number of seats that can be marketed.
Gregorowitsch expressed his optimism about being able to increase its flights to India following the forthcoming visit of the Indian premier to the sultanate. Gopal Ramarao general manager worldwide sales Oman Air said the Muscat-Goa-Muscat route will attract more tourists to the sultanate as well as other GCC countries through connecting flights and air corridor between the sultanate and India.
