Dubai residency office opens more self service kiosks


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Amer self-service booths are now available at Dubai International Airport Ministry of Labour office Sharjah Airport the GDRFA-Dubai headquarters and its external offices.

Dubai — Following the success of its Amer self-service kiosks which provide customers with prompt updates about the visa services and status round the clock the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) has set up more booths in different locations around the city.

Amer self-service booths are now available at Dubai International Airport Ministry of Labour office Sharjah Airport the GDRFA-Dubai headquarters and its external offices.

Customers can follow up on the processing of their transactions by using the booths which facilitate services for customers simplify procedures and provide convenience. The kiosks allow users to perform a variety of operations without the need to visit the directorate’s counters including applying for and enquiring about visa status as well as printing residence and other types of visas. Emiratis can also use the facility to renew their passports on the spot.

Major-General Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri Director-General of the directorate said the Amer self-service kiosk reflects the vision of the GDRFA-Dubai to offer best services to the public with competence and efficiency.

“The kiosk provides the most advanced e-services to the public and is simple to use. It is built with a touch screen and customers can enquire about services offered by the GDRFA-Dubai in an easy and efficient way round the clock” he said.

Maj-Gen Al Marri said using this technology aims to encourage the use of self-service with the beneficiaries including companies individuals sponsors and others interested in processing applications and saving time.

“The self-service kiosk is created to make people’s life easier because that will allow the public to complete visa-related paperwork during leisure time or while shopping” he added.
