Al Hajjaj highlights need for bridging gap between youth and corporate world


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 23: Gulf Bank announced that its General Manager Human Resources Ms Salma Al-Hajjaj was invited as a keynote speaker for the Human Resources session: Bridging the Gap at the 19th Middle East Oil & Gas Conference themed 'Energy Beyond Limits Through Innovation and Collaboration' and was under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa an event which took place from 9 11 March at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.

During her keynote speech Mrs. Al-Hajjaj highlighted the importance of human capital in any organization and the need for bridging the gap between the youth and the corporate world by engaging with them through mentoring getting involved with academia as well as the government to create think tanks and forums to better understand their needs aspirations and act on them accordingly in order to develop them into more productive elements of the society.

Organizations such as Injaz and Loyac provide healthy environments for the younger generation to prepare them for the future and nurture their leadership capabilities.

She stressed that HR professionals should work together is supporting more of such organizations that reach out and connect with the youth and provide them opportunities to get real life exposure and experiences . ..

She shed light on the significance of coaching and the obligation that falls on current leaders to develop future leaders a task that every successful leader should aspire to leave a legacy behind.
