Qatar- Ooredoo GOAL tournament ends
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Ooredoo's GOAL Sports Tournament finished last week, with crowds gathering to watch the finals of the football, cricket, volleyball and basketball contests.
Ooredoo organises the event every year, hoping to bring employees together and encourage them to live a healthy lifestyle.
Various departments from across the company formed teams and hundreds of employees took part.
In the hotly-contested football tournament, the marketing team emerged triumphant, with a one-nil victory over the sales and services team. The call centre team was the winner in the cricket tournament, while the chairman's team came out on top in the volleyball tournament.
The new line of business team was the champion in the basketball tournament. Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community & Public Relations, said: "This year's tournament was bigger and better than ever and we're grateful to everyone who has supported the event. Ooredoo believes in enabling our employees to live healthy and active lifestyles and GOAL is one of our most important annual initiatives."
