Jordanian delegation visits French Constitutional Council


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A delegation representing the Constitutional Court visited the Constitutional Council of France on Sunday to examine French constitutional law, along with the administration and enforcement tools for financial regulators.

Constitutional Court Spokesperson, Judge Ahmad Tbeishat, said the visit followed an invitation from the President of the French Constitutional Council, Jean-Louis Debre, in coordination with the French embassy.

On the sidelines of the visit, Constitutional Court President Taher Hikmet met with former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, who conveyed greetings to His Majesty King Abdullah II.

French officials said they appreciate the outstanding efforts of the King at regional and international levels and praised the King's latest speech before the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
