Jordan, U.S. discuss Syrian refugees crisis

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Imad Fakhoury, on Sunday, discussed with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration Anne C. Richard, the repercussions of the Syrian refugees crisis.

Fakhoury told the U.S. official that Jordan has received around 1.4 Syrian refugees since the eruption of the crisis in their country, adding that this massive number placed major burdens on the Kingdom infrastructure and already-strained resources. He spoke about the Jordan 2015 Response Plan to the Syrian Refugees Crisis, noting that the plan was devised in cooperation with UN, government agencies and NGOs and other parties.
