(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar's Bassem Hassan Mohamed took silver in the Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach Grand Prix aboard his ride Palloubet D Halong. He won prize money worth 110,000 euros. HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani attended yesterday's competition where Mohamed sealed second place. World number one Scott Brash came first and won the prize money 181,000 euros. Qatar Equestrian Federation president Hamad bin Abdul Rahman al-Attiyah congratulated Mohamed. He also said that Mohamed's achievement added to a big list of Qatari equestrian achievement. Al-Attiyah also praised Sheikh Khalid bin Ali al-Thani who came second in the five-star category.
