Traffic Dept workers held for selling driving permits


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 5: The Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major- General Abdullah Al- Muhanna has referred two civil employees working at one of the traffic departments to the Public Prosecution for 'selling' driving licenses for KD 600 to expatriates who do not meet the conditions stipulated in latest Ministerial Decision reports Al-Anba daily. The source said a large number of driving licenses have been issued in this manner and all those who hold such licences will be arrested and referred to the authorities.

Fake passports sold: Personnel from the Search and Investigation Department affiliated to the Residence Affairs Department have arrested an Arab for forging and selling passports of different countries and selling them to people who wish to leave the country reports Al- Shahed daily. Car snatched: Police are looking for three unidentified masked men for stealing the car of a Kuwaiti man reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said a Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Naseem Police Station complaining three masked men driving a Japanese car collided with his car from behind broke the glass of the vehicle forcing the Asian driver and children of his sponsor out of the car and drove off with the vehicle. The complainant said the incident happened in front of his home. He added the suspects broke the glass because the driver locked the doors from inside to protect the children.
