Qatar University 2nd Moot Court Competition Begins

(MENAFN- QNA) The second regional Arabic Moot Court Competition, organized by the Faculty of Law at Qatar University, in collaboration with Doha Centre for Media Freedom, began today under the theme "Law and Media".

Eight Arab teams from universities of Bir Zeit, Sultan Qaboos, Kuwait, Tunisia, Baghdad, Jordan, Qatar and the Beirut Arab University, will participate in the contest which will continue until April 8.

The organizing of the contest stems from the faith of the Faculty of Law at Qatar University in the importance of polishing students’ practical experience and realizing the educational outputs that contribute to building a generation mastering the skills of critical thinking, legal research, communication and advocacy.

The Arabic Moot Court Competition is an academic competition in which teams of students from ten different law schools will act as advocates as they make written and spoken arguments to simulate an actual criminal law case being argued to a high court.
