(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Aspire Zone has hosted the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Ladies Football Team as part of their first Qatar Ladies Tour.

High-profile PSG players and staff stayed at Aspire Zone for a training and team-building camp.

This is the first time the PSG's Women Football Team travelled to Qatar as they make Aspire Zone their temporary home.

Over four days, the team benefited from training and medical facilities at Aspire Zone.

The team is one of the powerhouses of the Women's First Division, having moved up to another level over the past two seasons. With the arrival of a new coach, Farid Benstiti, and international players, the squad keeps getting stronger and stronger each campaign.

Aspire Zone offers unparalled facilitiestraining venues and accommodation making it the ideal grounds for elite training camps for international teams and athletes.

It has seven outdoor football pitches and a warm-up track and field the PSG team also used.

Aspire Zone also hosted the PSG Handball Team twice in 2013-2014 for a week-long training camp during which 25 of PSG's top players were in Doha.

The PSG Men Football Team also had the opportunity to experience the quality training fields and multipurpose halls, which have been built for a variety of sports at Aspire Zone.

Benstiti said: "The PSG Women Football Team is proud to be in Doha to take part in the club's fantastic idea, and we are happy to be here. It is important for the sport that we continue to train and remain professional, and the training conditions in Doha are fantastic for this. The players, team and staff are proud to take part in PSG's project and we will continue to remain strong and focus on our objective."

In recent years, many prestigious clubs have visited Aspire Zone, including Manchester United FC, Great Britain Archery Team, and the US U17 Men's Basketball Team.

Aspire Zone will also host Australian Swimming Team and Welsh Rugby Team in July and the British Paralympic Athletics Team in October.
