Asian 'commits suicide' in Jleeb one dead in mishap


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY April 3: An unidentified Asian reportedly ended his life inside his room in Hassawi reports Al-Rai daily. Without going into details the daily said the remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. Meanwhile the remains of an unidentified Asian man who died following a two-vehicle collision on the Fahaheel Road have been referred to Forensics reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the other motorist a Kuwaiti who was seriously injured has been referred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Adan Hospital.

Iranian arrested: Doha Port customs officers have arrested an unidentified Iranian for possessing opium reports Al- Rai daily. The daily added the man arrived aboard an Iranian vessel and when he reached the inspection desk he looked confused. Officers then searched his baggage and found drug pills. He has been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Wife assaulted:Acomplaint has been filed against an unidentified European for assaulting his wife reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added when the woman reached the police station to file a complaint against her husband she was bleeding. The police then sent the woman to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital to get a medical report. Police have summoned the suspect for interrogation.

Trio in police custody: The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti who was wanted by law and his two brothers for attempting to help him escape the law reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the suspect was wanted by law in connection with several criminal offences. When an officer saw the suspect leaving his house in Saad Al-Abdullah he ordered the man to show his ID. At this point the suspect reached for his gun and ordered the officer to keep a distance and threatened to shoot him. The officer then summoned the backup force and when the backup force arrived the brothers intervened and attempted to help their sibling escape the law. The trio is in police custody.

Settling scores: An unidentified youth who was stabbed in the hip by another youth in the parking lot of a cafE in Sharq over a former dispute has been admitted to the Amiri Hospital reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources as soon as the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received information about the incident police and paramedics rushed to the spot and took the victim to the hospital. The daily did not say if the other youth has been arrested or not.

Drunken brawl: A Kuwaiti has been referred to the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station for drinking alcohol aboard an inbound flight and picking up a quarrel with two passengers reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the pilot of the inbound flight informed the control tower about the incident onboard the plane and after the plane landed police whisked him away for interrogation.

Filipina says harassed: A Filipino woman who works at the popular market has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing her Egyptian coworker of molesting and harassing her reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant has provided police information of the suspect. He will be summoned for interrogation.
