UAE firm, Rwanda sign USD75m accord for water treatment plant

(MENAFN) In order to prompt the water treatment industry, the Republic of Rwanda signed USD75 million deal for a water treatment plant, Arabian Business reported.

The water pay for contract is with Kigali Water Limited, a Rwandan-registered firm owned by Metito, a UAE-based water management company.

The plan is set to take just about two years to be concluded. It is said that potable water access in Kigali is presently 85 percent, which is more than Rwanda's average of 75 percent.

"We'll be able to solve the scarcity of water which is one of the biggest problems in Kigali,"the chief executive of Rwanda's Water and Sanitation Corporation said.
