UAE's Arabtec, Egypt agree on USD40b housing project


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Arabtec and Egypt's Ministry of Housing agreed upon the initial stage of a USD40 billion housing plan in Egypt, Reuters reported.

Arabtec Construction LLC, the largest construction company in the Arabian Gulf by market value, is set to sign the contract with the ministry as soon as possible.

The project includes the building of one million homes across Egypt, in addition to 100,000 units to be built in El Obour and Badr districts, the contractor said in a statement.
