Mauritius economy to grow 4.1 percent in 2015
(MENAFN) According to Statistics Mauritius released data, Mauritius economy is predicted to expand by 4.1 percent this year, up from a 3.5 percent growth in 2014, Xinhua reported.
The tourism and construction sectors will be the key drivers of the economy, as the latter will grow by 3.3 percent this year after registering four straight years of contraction.
As for the tourism sector, after having crossed the milestone figure of 1 million visitors in 2014, the number of visitors is expected to increase to 1.1 million this year.
Meanwhile, the information and communication technologies will grow by 7 percent. The forecast is similar to the World Bank's that equally predicted a 4.1 percent economic growth in 2015.
