Qatar CSR Network announces Sport and Social Responsibility Report


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar CSR has announced its new project, Sport and Social Responsibility Report € Qatar 2015, which is in line with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) it signed with Qatar University (QU).

The new report, expected to be released in the last quarter of 2015, has been inspired by Qatar's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2022, which is expected to witness events and initiatives that are aligned with FIFA's corporate social responsibility projects.

Qatar CSR Network chairman Sheikh Khaled bin Faleh bin Saud al-Thani said, "The Sport and Social Responsibility Report € Qatar 2015 will have a big value as it focuses on the important sport partnerships and projects to accomplish success locally and internationally.

"Qatar is enhancing such partnerships as its strategic priorities to strengthen its position as a leading sports nation, relying on its long history and experience of hosting big sports events."

Sport and Social Responsibility Report € Qatar 2015 will explore the initiatives and activities that are aligned with the fundamental values of sports as a method of peace and development.

It monitors the local and international initiatives that enhance Qatar's role in enriching the global sports heritage and introduces the investments that sport clubs have made in the field of social responsibility.

The report will include opinions of VIP personalities on the relationship between sports and CSR, and the importance of sports in maintaining a healthy community. The report will also show how sports can be a tool of peace and development, especially that Qatar has put sports on the top of its priorities and a means of strengthening ties among people.
