Kuwait- Security caigns target law violators beggars

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 21: Securitymen from the Capital Governorate continue their campaigns to crack down on persons wanted by law residence and labor laws violators and beggars. A security source said Chief of the Security Directorate of the Capital Governorate Major-General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah has formed several teams including one team of plainclothes men to arrest these people particularly beggars who frequent markets and commercial complexes. During one of the campaigns police have seized four people for violating labor law eight for not holding identification documents five wanted in connection with criminal and civil frauds one for possessing 24 rounds of ammunition a sharp object and four cigarettes filled with hashish. Police have also arrested an Asian amputee for begging for alms. He was caught near the Mubarakiya Market. During the campaign police have also issued 15 traffic citations to reckless motorists

Female beggar to be deported: The Assistant Undersecretary for General Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali has issued a directive to refer a female Arab expatriate to the General Department for Criminal Investigation and subsequent deportation from the country reports Al-Anba daily. The woman was caught in possession of KD 19 which she had collected from begging. She reportedly came to the country on visit visa and was caught begging for alms in front of a mosque.
