House debates medical association bill

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Lower House on Tuesday started debating the amended draft of the 2015 Jordan Medical Association draft law.

A number of lawmakers objected to attempts to hurriedly approve the legislation, indicating that a number of MPs had come under pressure to quickly pass the bill.

However, the MPs in question refuted the accusations as "derogatory." The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee said, "We reject such accusations that should not be a question for debate." After the deliberations, the legislature voted to initiate a discussion on the draft law, and approved a number of its articles in order to complete the exercise in sessions to be held later.
