(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Government Coordinator for Human Rights, Basel Al-Tarawneh , on Tuesday met the Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Abdel Salam Sid Ahmad, to discuss coordination on human rights issues.
Tarawneh reviewed the government's plans and programs on human rights in addition to the national comprehensive plan for human rights, noting other measures that have been implemented to ensure better protection of human rights.
Sid Ahmad said he valued the government's procedures and plans to promote human rights, stressing the need for future cooperation with Jordan to strengthen the executive plan to safeguard human rights.
