Prime minister meets Kuwaiti counterpart


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Prime Minister Abullah Ensour on Tuesday met his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the Third International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria, held in Kuwait.

Ensour praised Kuwait's supportive stances toward Jordan, noting that the Gulf Arab state had paid its share of a $5 billion Gulf Cooperation Council grant to the Kingdom.

The prime minister highlighted Jordan's difficult economic conditions, pointing out that improving the Kingdom's economic situation would enhance its security and stability, thereby boosting its positive role in the region.

The Kuwaiti prime minister said that his government has the directives of His Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah not to hesitate to support the projects agreed upon between the two countries, and also provide humanitarian aid and assist in the fight against terrorism.
