(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Ooredoo has been named as the official telecom partner for Soccerex Global Convention 2015, the world's largest football business event that brings together global leaders in the football business to debate, network and trade.
The agreement, which was signed at a ceremony held in Ooredoo's HQ1 in West Bay by Ooredoo Qatar COO Waleed al-Sayed and Soccerex
CEO Duncan Revie, confirms Ooredoo's sponsorship of the event and outlines the support that the company will provide.
Ooredoo will be present at the UK-based event alongside the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and will work with them to showcase Qatar's ongoing support for football and the nation's readiness to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
"Ooredoo fully supports the vision of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in 'Delivering Amazing' for the people of Qatar and for the global community of soccer fans. We will use our presence at Soccerex to demonstrate that Qatar is becoming the ideal venue for major sporting events, with a nationwide network of 'smart stadia' being developed," said al-Sayed.

This year, the Soccerex Global Convention will return to Manchester Central Convention Complex, kicking off with a Football Festival on September 6-7, with the conference starting on September 8. An international exhibition and a programme of networking and social events complete the schedule.
