British gov't revises up GDP growth forecast for Q4


(MENAFN) Data by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed that the British government has revised up its fourth-quarter economic growth forecast from 0.5 percent to 0.6 percent, Xinhua reported.

For the full year of 2014, British gross domestic product (GDP) was estimated to have increased by 2.8 percent when compared with 2013, revised up 0.2 percent from ONS' previous estimate.

Between the fourth quarters of 2013 and 2014, the country's GDP increased by 3.0 percent in volume terms, revised up 0.3 percentage points from its previous estimate.

Gross domestic product per head was estimated to have grown by 0.5 percent between the third and fourth quarters of 2014, a 2.2 percent increase on an annual basis, said ONS.
