(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Bangladeshi private tutor was accused of inappropriately touching the boy on several occasions while teaching him the Holy Quran at his house.

Dubai — A 34-year-old cook has been cleared by the Dubai Court of First Instance of molesting an eight-year-old boy.

The Bangladeshi private tutor was accused of inappropriately touching the boy on several occasions while teaching him the Holy Quran at his house taking advantage of the fact that the boy’s parents were away. He denied the charges when questioned.

The court acquitted him for lack of evidence.

The boy’s father a 41-year-old employee from Pakistan said the defendant had an agreement with him to give his two children aged five and eight years private Holy Quran lessons at their house three times a week.

The accused had been giving his sons private sessions for about three months when the father learnt about what he was allegedly doing.

“I would be at work while my wife would check on them during the private teaching sessions” the father told the prosecutor.

His eight-year-old son told him on December 20 last year that the accused touched him inappropriately and that he had done the same several times earlier also. “He told me about the defendant’s doings after the latter left our house in the evening.”

The father filed a complaint at Al Qusais police station.

A police lieutenant said that they arrested the accused on December 29. The accused denied the boy’s accusations.

The complainant identified him three times among other suspects at the police station.
