(MENAFN) Dubai International Airport registered to 5.97 million passenger traffic in February, marking an increase from the 5.68 million recorded year-on-year, Arab News reported.
In 2014, Dubai International Airport surpassed British Heathrow and became the busiest and most prolific airport on the global plane. The increase in February showed a 5.3 percent rise.
The expansion which led to the airport's good gains was mostly seen in the Indian subcontinent routes and Western Europe. In contrast, the traffic towards Russia a significant 35.6 percent decrease.
