(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Jan 12: Global Technology Company WLL Kuwait in association with KREAD Foundation Nagpur India and Al- Sabah Hospital Kuwait hosted a medical conference entitled 'Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Conference' at Crowne Plaza Kuwait on fan 8 2015.
This daylong conference was centrally organized in India by KREAD Foundation and involved beaming of live surgeries performed by renowned surgeons at Pune and Ahmedabad and interactive Question & Answer sessions simultaneously to five countries India Kuwait Dubai Bangladesh and Nepal. Dr Mohammed Al-Jarallah former Health Minister of Kuwait & Head of Kuwait Chapter of Bariatric Congress was the Chief Guest at the event and Dr Mubarak Al-Kandari Head of Department of General Surgery and Urology Al-Sabah Hospital was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present were Dr. Gargi Jain wife of the Ambassador of India Ali Al- Zaben Chairman of Global Technology Company and Dr Vinod K. Grover President of Indian Doctors Forum in Kuwait.
The conference was attended by surgeons from Al-Sabah Hospital and other government and private hospitals. Participating doctors will be awarded CME points by Al-Sabah Hospital. Advanced Technology Company Kuwait was the main sponsor of the event.
This was the first of 6 to 8 such conferences planned for 2015 by KREAD Foundation under its Medicon Series with the aim of providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) and sharing of Indian experience and expertise in the field of Medical Care with doctors in GCC and SAARC countries. The next conference will be on Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery followed by Intervention Cardiology Surgery. Global Technology Company is the Kuwait Learning Center for KREAD Foundation and it will host all future conferences held under the Medicon Series in Kuwait.
