(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other four Gulf ambassadors held talks Monday with Mayor of Italian city of Florence, Dario Nardella on enhancing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-Italian ties.
The Gulf diplomats, of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and UAE, discussed with Mayor of Florence, who is a prominent leader in the Democratic Party, proposals for organizing a series of events to ameliorate GCC-Italian relations, according to a statement by the Kuwaiti embassy in Rome.
Among the proposed the events, is organizing an annual forum in the Italian city for the major GCC and Italian companies to discuss prospects of economic cooperation.
The mayor praised such proposals and appreciation of Kuwaiti ambassador's efforts which help boost relationship between Florence and Kuwait.
