Khrinej stresses Kuwait's absolute solidarity with Tunisia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's visiting Deputy National Assembly Speaker Mubarak Al-Khrinej reaffirmed here on Monday his country's absolute solidarity with Tunisia in the fight against terrorism.

Al-Khrinej made the statement after meeting with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi at the Carthage Palace, said a statement by Tunisian presidency on Monday.

Essebsi stressed the solidness of relations between the two countries, noting Tunisia is keen on restoring its role in the joint Arab action and opening horizons of cooperation between the two governments, it added.

Promoting cooperation between Kuwait and Tunisia in several domains was the focus of the talks, Al-Khrinej said, noting Essebsi conveyed his greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In a statement to KUNA, Al-Khrinej said that the Kuwait-Tunisia relations are historic, adding that his participation in an international anti-terror march in Tunis reflects Kuwait's message of love and solidarity with Tunisians.

He affirmed his country's support to Tunisia and other Arab countries in the fight against terrorism, which has become a global phenomenon.

Al-Khrinej arrived here on Sunday to take part in the march in Tunisia, with the participation of a number of heads and leaders of states across the globe.
