Winning Team To Represent Kuwait In International Finals In Prague Next Month


(MENAFN- Arab Times) ADNAR Group ® experts and leaders in the field of vocational training and consulting services, announced the victory of Gulf Bank as "Kuwait National Team" in the Global Management Challenge - Kuwait 2014 Edition, which was organized by the group and was kicked-off last November, where a wide range of the Kuwaiti National Organizations participated.

After this victory, Gulf Bank's winning team "Capital Solutions", earned the honor and privilege of representing the State of Kuwait and raising the flag of Kuwait as " Kuwait's National Team" in the international finals, organized in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic during the month of April, also Gulf Bank's team "Optimus Prime" scored second place, the American University of Kuwait (AUK)'s team "Wolf Pack" came in third.

After the announcement of the winning team, the Managing Director of ADNAR Group ® Ms Randa Haidar said as a start allow me to congratulate Gulf Bank's team "Capital Solutions" for winning the Global Management Challenge Kuwait 2014 Edition, she expressed her confidence in the ability of the Gulf Bank team to raise the name of Kuwait high in the global competitions, and perform at the competition's international level this April, due to the variety of experiences and competencies the team members possess.

Ms Haidar explained that ADNAR Group ® is keen to expand the launch of these programs and offer more of them as part of the training services provided by the group indicating that the first kick-off of the GMC in the Arab world was from Kuwait in 2012, and then in the next year in the State of Qatar, while currently the group is preparing to launch "The Global Management Challenge" in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the end of her speech, Ms Haidar revealed that ADNAR Group ®will launch the 2015 edition of the Challenge next May and the winning team will represent Kuwait internationally in Macau - China during April of next year, and registrations for the 2015 Edition has started.

Intense competition

In turn, the General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank Ms Salma Al-Hajjaj congratulated the winning teams, pointing out that the three months since the Global Management Challenge started was characterized by fierce competition given the high level of the participating teams, special congratulations to the American University of Kuwait students team, they competed with experienced veteran bankers. At the same time Ms Al-Hajjaj expressed the pride of Gulf Bank's senior management for winning this award, and she commended the efforts of ADNAR Group ® in organizing the challenge and the ability of ADNAR's team to provide programs that take into account the private sector's requirements and are consistent with its aim to develop the National work force and raise their competitiveness.

For his part, Dr John Russell, Dean of the College of Business Administration and Economics at the American University of Kuwait (AUK) thanked the organizers of the Global Management Challenge for organizing this important national competition, adding that the competition prompted them to learn more about themselves and others. He also offered his congratulations to the winning teams, and added that these successes would not have been realized without technical competences, critical thinking, and sound values, strong leadership and foremost joint cooperation that made this success possible, which is at the same time an example of the characteristics of students and graduates of the American University. The American University of Kuwait team awarded citations for achieving "The Highest Investment Performance in the One Quarter" during the finals.

Going back to the competition details, leading the "National Team of Kuwait" Jarrah Al-Mutairi team members included Ali Berjawi, Ghassan Salloum and Fuad Obeid, experienced bankers who has already demonstrated significant capabilities in managing an international company in a very difficult economic environment and were able to achieve the highest investment performance in the simulated stock exchange to win, and this team is expected to raise the name of Kuwait during the global competition and be the first Arab team who wins the global title; since the start of the competition about 30 years ago.

Participants come from all-walks-of-life economic, academic community groups; managers, corporate officers, directors, future managers and students.
