(MENAFNEditorial) In a ceremony attended by the strategic partners of The Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hire Cars and a number of officials from the transport sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, The Centre announced the completion of the third and final phase of Kafoo awards for Organizational Excellence for the year 2014.
The Centre continuously strives to provide an integrated taxi service with the aim to sustain excellence in performance and reinforce organizational excellence and quality, by supporting its employees in executing the best international standards of service.
Winners of various categories were honored during the ceremony, which included; the three main categories namely, the Kafoo award for Excellence in Management, the Kafoo award for Excellence in projects and the Kafoo award for Outstanding Performance.
The awards were launched in line with the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council towards the launching of programs of excellence awards within departments affiliated to the Government of Abu Dhabi.
Each department submitted its nomination documents for each category within a defined timeframe and nominees were evaluated based on specified criteria detailed in the awards' guide issued by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council. Evaluations where conducted by external certified assessors in collaboration with other government entities in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking on the occasion General Manager Mohamed Darwish Al Qamzi said, "We learned from our wise leaders that the development of the local manpower should come on top of our strategic goals because they are the future of this country. We are proud of how successful this experiment with the awards has been. It plays an important part in achieving employees' satisfaction and enhancing their self-confidence which in turn has a positive effect on their productivity and performance. Therefore, I'd like to thank the office of Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, all the work put in internally at the Centre and all who contributed towards the success and completion of Kafoo award".
