(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Philips is hosting an amateur chef competition at Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) 2015 which concludes today at the Museum of Islamic Art Park in Doha.
Chef Deema Hajjawi, Philips' regional brand ambassador, is also demonstrating her cooking skills to encourage families to enjoy the benefits of home cooking by guiding them to make tasty dishes with minimum effort.
The competition, being held twice today, involves the participants replicating Hajjawi's recipes. The winners will get prizes from Philips.
"Homemade food empowers people to take control of their eating habits," Hajjawi said. "I learned everything I know about cooking from my mom, who used to cook healthy, well-balanced meals. And this is my passion, to cook for my family perfect meals."
Originally from Jordan, Hajjawi is a well-known food specialist and author of three cookbooks, as well as a presenter of a live cooking show on Ro'ya TV. She is working with Philips to create tasty homemade recipes which can be made using Philips kitchen appliances, providing a wide variety of recipes with minimum effort.
Philips has a range of kitchen appliances, such as Airfryer XL, Avance Food Processor, Avance Kitchen Machine, and Avance Juicer, that help families enjoy healthier, homemade meals more often, without spending hours in the kitchen.
