(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 26: Inspectors from the Foodstuff Control Department of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Municipality have confiscated 208 kilos of expired frozen chicken from the supply branch of the cooperative society reports Al- Qabas daily. The daily did not give more details. Meanwhile the Farwaniya police have arrested two Kuwaitis for breaking into cars and stealing valuables and trafficking in alcohol reports Al-Anba daily. The security sources said the suspects were caught red-handed while attempting to break into a car in Andalus. Police then checked their car and found bottles of imported alcohol. During interrogation they have admitted to breaking into eight vehicles. They have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.
Bid to hit money exchange: Police have arrested a 27-year-old Kuwaiti for attempting to rob a money exchange company in Mahboula reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added the suspect entered the company armed with a pistol and as soon as the alarm sounded he ran for his life. The security authorities then checked the CCTV footage and managed to identify the suspect. He was picked up from his home in Qosour within four hours following a vain attempt to escape. Police have seized the pistol from the man and referred him to the authorities.
Lebanese cheated: A46-year-old Lebanese has filed a complaint with the police accusing two people one claiming to be a doctor and the other cleric of swindling him reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added his son is suffering from a nerve disease and in the name of curing his son the duo robbed him of KD 21930 his life savings. The daily gave no further details.
Citizen hunts brother: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Mubarak Al-Kabir Police Station accusing an unidentified person who came looking for his brother in his Diwaniya reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the man was angry and carried a machete. When the man allegedly asked for the brother of the complainant he attempted to grab the machete and the suspect escaped. Police are investigating the incident.
