Qatar, India trade exchange hits USD16.7t in 2014


(MENAFN) The bilateral trade exchange between Qatar and India was recorded at USD16.7 trillion in 2014, according to Indian media, Qatar News Agency reported.

Qatar surpasses any other provider of Liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India. The Qatari LNG market, in addition to oil and petrochemical markets, furnish the gulf country prolific profits through India.

The two countries are also set in negotiations in a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which lies under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Framework Agreement.
