Female US soldier accuses Egyptian of ''molestation''


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 23: The weapons-collection squad has referred a Kuwaiti working for the oil sector to the Public Prosecutor for trafficking in arms and ammunition reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added he is the first person who is subjected to severe punishment as stipulated in the new law of arms collection. A security source said the arrest came after the squad members received information on the suspect that he was selling a large quantity of arms without license. Acting on this tip-off the security authorities put the man under surveillance for some time until the securitymen were convinced that he had stored the arms in his home and was moving part by part in his car. The squad members then got a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided the house of the suspect and seized a quantity of arms from the house and from his car. According to the source the suspect has admitted to the intention of trafficking in arms. The source added the suspect is expected to pay large sums of money in fine and also will be imprisoned.

Passport bought for KD 150: Passport officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested a Bangladeshi for attempting to leave the country on a passport belonging to someone else reports Al-Shahed daily. Following the arrest the Bangladeshi admitted to buying it from a compatriot for KD 150. The Bangladeshi was wanted by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station in connection with an unidentified issue.

Complaint filed: A female US soldier has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing an Egyptian colleague from the same camp of molesting her reports Al- Anba daily. Police have detained the Egyptian for interrogation.
