Man injured as car veers off UAEs tallest peak
Ras Al Khaimah - A 36-year-old Emirati was injured after the car he was driving veered off the road leading to Jebel Jais — the highest mountain in the UAE — late on Friday. According to the Ras Al Khaimah Police the motorist was not paying attention on the steep road due to which he lost control over the vehicle.
“The rescue teams reached the site on the 1900m-tall mountain in record time and rushed the motorist identified as G.M.A. to the nearest hospital where he is recuperating in the intensive care unit” a police official said.
The officer urged motorists to be cautious while driving on the steep winding road leading to Jebel Jais.
