King receives President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Sunday, received the President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Ammar Al-Hakim.

During a meeting at Al Husseinyieh Palace that tackled the Jordanian-Iraqi relations and ways of strengthening them, the King reiterated Jordan's full support to the Iraqi people in the fight against terrorism and terrorist organizations.

His Majesty also said that Jordan supports efforts to build a better present and future of Iraq, and enable it to consolidate its national unity with the participation of all segments of the Iraqi people.

The meeting also reviewed the current developments in the Middle East.

Al-Hakim expressed his appreciation for His Majesty the King's supportive stances towards Iraq and its people, and his efforts to strengthen security and stability in the Middle East.
