Family Rescued After Getting Stuck in Mud off German Island

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A mother and her two children had to be rescued off the North Sea island of Amrum Sunday after they became stuck in mud while hiking through tidal flats, rescue authorities said.
By the time rescuers arrived, the woman was buried up to her thighs and was supporting her 6-month-old baby on her shoulders. Her 3-year-old child was standing nearby, dpa reported.
Rescuers were alerted when a witness saw them getting stuck 100 meters from shore. All three were rescued and brought to safety.
