Dubai's DP World, Maldives sign deal to develop ports industry

(MENAFN) DP World, the Dubai-based port operator, signed a deal with Maldivian government to develop the archipelago's ports and logistics industry, Arabian Business reported.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding is set to potentially see an international port being developed in the Indian Ocean archipelago.

'The Maldives has been growing rapidly, driven largely by its tourism development. We are working with them to help diversify the economy,' the chairman of DP World said.
