Vietnam's IP, EZ attract USD122.5b FDI in 2014


(MENAFN) Industrial parks (IPs) and economic zones (EZs) in Vietnam have attracted some USD122.5 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) cumulatively as of the end of 2014, Xinhua reported.

About 295 IPs were established on a total area of 84,000 hectares, of which 212 are operating, while 83 others are under construction, the Ministry of Planning and Investment said.

A total figure of USD85.5 billion in FDI was registered to pour into IPs during the period, of which USD49 billion were disbursed, accounting for around 57 percent, the ministry said.
