''Smoking can make men impotent''


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Dec 7: The Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at the Kuwait University Dr Ahmad Al- Kandari has warned of the danger of smoking reports Al-Seyassah daily. He said it can affect men''s fertility and pointed to the recent scientific studies which have proved smoking could affect the fertility in man and his ability to reproduce.

Al-Kandari gave some examples on scientific studies issued of late by the international medical magazines and journals such as the Fertility and Sterility Magazine which conducted a scientific study in Italy on the increase of damaging factors for smokers in addition to making a comparison between the sperm of smokers and non-smokers in terms of number and activity.

Meanwhile he affirmed smoking has a negative impact on ICSI results as it has been shown by different researches. He clarified there is no difference between smoking cigarettes and sheesha saying it has even been proved in some scientific researches that the amount of ''poison'' in sheesha is more than in cigarettes saying both are harmful.
