Oman to take part in GCC U15 Golf Championship

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) A three-member team from Oman will take part in the second GCC U15 Golf Championship which will be held at the Dubai Creek Yacht & Golf Club in Dubai UAE from March 18-21.

Rashad al Harthy Fahad al Kitani and Haitham al Zubair will spearhead the sultanate's challenge and hope to defend the gross crown the team had won at the inaugural edition of the competition at the Ghala Golf Club in Muscat last April.

Saudi Arabia's Saud al Sherif had claimed the individual title and Oman's Fahad had finished runner-up. In the individual nett event Saudi Arabia's Saoud al Muhannadi was the champion and UAE had taken the team nett title.

In Dubai the Omani trio will be accompanied by Mundhir al Barwani the chairman of the Oman Golf Committee (OGC) and Ahmed al Jhdhamy the OGC vice-chairman. Milo Breitenwisher is the team's coach.
