US State Dept: reports of Iran deal circulating inaccurate
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The State Department has denied reports that surfaced earlier Thursday indicating that a draft was circulating on the Iranian nuclear agreement, spokesperson Jen Psaki affirmed to reporters.
"The reports are inaccurate. There's no draft document being circulated," she asserted. "The fundamental framework issues are still under comprehensive discussion, and obviously, that's what the secretary is focused on now during his meetings." Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest in a briefing said that "reports about that, about this matter are not accurate.
"So to start floating out that there are certain aspects of the agreement that may be on a draft resolution or that may be agreed to is - is counterproductive to the negotiations and, in the instance, not accurate."
