Reports concern local Christians

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 3: Subsequent to the failure of extremist groups to incite chaos among the Sunni and Shiite citizens suspicious elements are making an effort to stir up chaos among Christian and Muslim residents particularly Egyptians reports Al- Shahed daily.

The daily quoting reliable sources pointed to confusion spreading among Christians in the country following recent messages posted on the social networking sites alleging that unidentified people have been asking about the accommodations of Christians.

They indicated some individuals are checking the buildings where Christians live in Khaitan area claiming they work for the church and want to provide spiritual assistance. However it became clear they have no relation with the church.

The messages indicated a masked person went to one building in Hawalli area and recorded the names of Christians living there and many individuals are terrified on account of the rumor.

The Church in turn has requested any person with information on the recent events to inform authorities in the country by providing details of the suspect with his car number plate to facilitate legal procedures.

Meanwhile a security source said the Ministry of Interior has yet to register any report in this respect although security systems in the country are ready to receive complaints. The ministry warned on spreading rumors noting the perpetrators will be dealt with severely by the law.
