(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday received Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Laszlo Kover, and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting at Al-Husainiyah Palace, the King said Jordan is looking forward to strengthening friendly relations with the Republic of Hungary at various levels, stressing that the parliaments of the two countries have a key role in advancing ties through mutual coordination and consultation on various issues of common concern.
He also highlighted endeavors to combat the threat of terrorist organizations in order to preserve regional security and stability.
The Hungarian official hailed reforms Jordan has carried out under His Majesty's leadership, and his Majesty's key role in promoting world peace and security.
He also stressed the importance of Jordan's role in the region, which is a strategic partner of Hungary in various fields, referring to His Majesty's recent speech before European Parliament.
