(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Wednesday the Indonesian president's special envoy to the Middle East and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Alwi Shihab.
Shihab handed His Majesty the King an invitation from Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, to attend the celebrations on the tenth anniversary of the Asian- African strategic partnership and the sixtieth anniversary of Asian- African summit scheduled to be held in Jakarta next month.
His Majesty stressed the importance of a collective pan-Arab and Islamic effort to confront terrorism and highlight the true values and moderation of Islam.
Shihab said his country is keen on boosting ties with the Kingdom in various spheres, appreciating His Majesty's role in achieving security and stability in the Middle East.
